During World War I, a young Oklahoma soldier fighting in France was gassed in an attack by the German Imperial Army. A French nurse, Pauline, cared for him until his health returned. He was able to return to Oklahoma to tell his family of a woman's kind acts in a far away land. His grateful sister named her daughter, my mother, Pauline in honor of the nurse that comforted her brother.
Chateau Pauline is a fruit forward red wine blend, slightly sweetened and made from carefully grown Oklahoma grapes.
